MTN8 Semi-Finals: Everything You Need to Know!

The MTN8 semi-finals are almost here, and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) have confirmed the dates, venues and kick-off times.

Per a recently released statement, Kaiser Chiefs will be taking on Mamelodi Sundowns, while Orlando Pirates will see action against Stellenbosch FC.

“Kaizer Chiefs will be home to Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of their clash on Saturday, 2 September 2023 at FNB Stadium [in Johannesburg, Gauteng],” the statement reads. “The second leg fixture will take place at Lucas Moripe Stadium [in Pretoria, Gauteng] on Saturday, 23 September 2023.

“Meanwhile, the other side of the bracket will see Stellenbosch FC hosting Orlando Pirates in their first leg encounter on Sunday, 3 September 2023 at Athlone Stadium [in Cape Town, Western Cape]. The return leg will be played at Orlando Stadium [in Soweto, Gauteng] on Sunday, 24 September 2023.”

Chiefs have come under fire for their poor performances as of late, so chances are they may not perform so well against the reigning PSL champions. As for Pirates, they’d do well not to underestimate the fast-rising Western Cape club!
